Insurance Continuing Education

CLICK HERE FOR THE APRIL 26, 2016 INSURANCE CLASSES

All insurance agents holding licenses in any of the following lines of insurance: property, casualty, life, accident & health, and auto must complete continuing education credit-hours in each biennium. Each agent has been assigned a renewal date according to their birth month and the odd or even numbered year they were originally licensed. No self-study or correspondence courses will qualify for continuing education credit unless they are approved in advance by OCI. Agents not completing the required hours by due date will have their licenses suspended, and will have to provide proof of completion and pay late fees-per insurance line to reinstate their license.

Agents are not responsible for filing their completion certificates as Robbins & Lloyd submits course completion information directly to SBS. Agents may contact SBS directly to check reported hours for the current biennium.

IF AGENT SELLS LTC PRODUCTS, THEY ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE 8/HRS OF LTC-PARTNERSHIP & WI MEDICAID TRAINING, and the next biennium they must take the 4/hour REFRESHER course.

AGENTS WHO SELL ANNUITITES, MUST TAKE A CARRIER-SPECIFIC PRODUCT TRAINING PROGRAM AND A 4/HR GENERAL ANNUITY COURSE THROUGH A STATE APPROVED VENDOR.

Students are responsible to ensure that no course duplication occurs. A student will not receive credit for the same course taken more than once in a biennium.

Robbins & Lloyd CTI reserves the right to cancel a course - if a course is canceled, enrollees will be notified by phone or by e-mail.
